Newborn safety comes before any photograph. Babies are never forced into a pose, the studio is kept warm and clean, and every set-up is supported and unhurried.

I photograph the chapters that move fastest.
The wait for a baby. The first sleepy fortnight. The cake-covered grin of a first birthday. These seasons pass in a blur of feeds and laundry — and then one day they’re simply over. My work is to slow them down long enough to keep.
I trained as a portrait photographer and found my home in newborn and family work — the slow kind, with warm light, soft textures and no stopwatch. I’m newborn-safety trained, endlessly patient with toddlers, and genuinely never happier than when a session dissolves into giggles.
