1. Who we are
This website is operated by Gabriela Patru Photography (“we”, “us”, “our”), a photography studio based in Coventry, West Midlands, United Kingdom. You can reach us at contact@gabrielapatru.co.uk. By booking a session or using this site you agree to these terms.
2. Bookings & deposits
A session is confirmed once we’ve agreed a date in writing (by email or message) and any booking fee has been paid. A non-refundable booking fee may be required to secure your date; it is deducted from the final balance. The remaining balance is due on or before the day of the session unless we agree otherwise.
3. Rescheduling & cancellations
- You’re welcome to reschedule once, free of charge, with at least 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability.
- Newborn sessions are date-flexible by nature — we’ll happily move the date around your baby’s arrival.
- If you cancel, the booking fee is non-refundable. Balances already paid are refundable up to 48 hours before the session.
- If illness or an emergency affects either of us, we’ll always do our best to find a new date that works.
4. The session
We’ll guide you throughout — you don’t need any experience in front of the camera. The safety and comfort of you and your family always come first, especially during maternity and newborn sessions. We reserve the right to end a session early where behaviour is abusive or unsafe.
5. Your images
After the session you’ll receive a private online gallery to view and choose your images. Edited images are delivered digitally; the number included depends on the package booked. We aim to deliver galleries within the timescale quoted at booking. Please back up your images once received — we keep files only for a limited time (see our Privacy Policy).
6. Copyright & usage
We retain the copyright in all photographs we create, as provided by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. When you receive your images you’re granted a personal, non-commercial licence to print, share and enjoy them for your own use. Please don’t edit, crop or apply filters to delivered images, or use them commercially, without our written permission.
7. Use of images in our portfolio
We love sharing recent work. With your consent we may use a selection of your images on our website, social media and in printed promotional material. You can decline or withdraw this consent at any time by emailing contact@gabrielapatru.co.uk, and we’ll stop using them going forward.
8. Liability
We carry out every booking with professional care. In the unlikely event that images are lost or a session cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond our control, our liability is limited to a refund of the fees paid for that session. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything that cannot be excluded under law.
9. Privacy
We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy and the cookies described in our Cookie Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one in force on the date we confirm it. The latest version is always published on this page.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
